Covid-19 Update

Hawks Cay Resort has a longstanding commitment to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our guests and staff. As we continue to assess and respond to the challenges facing all of us due to COVID-19, we remain steadfast in our commitment to our core values of safety and customer service.

We look forward to welcoming guests back to our tropical island paradise, but there will be changes to the guest experience to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone on property. The following health and safety protocols, which meet all guidelines issued by public health agencies and the American Hotel Lodging Association, will help us ensure that every precaution is taken to keep each guest safe while still providing an unforgettable stay. As we all navigate our reopening together, we ask for your patience as some of these policies may evolve to best meet the needs of our guests while adhering to provided guidelines.

Hawks Cay Guest

  • Social Distancing: All guests and staff members must limit the potential of physical contact as much as possible. Additionally, the front desk, restaurants, pool, and public areas will require guests to practice social distancing with 6 feet of separation. Visual guides will be present for proper spacing.
  • Facemasks: Guests are required to bring and wear facemasks at all times while indoors unless consuming food or beverages. Facemasks are not required outdoors if social distancing measures are maintained unless speaking with another person who is not of your personal party (i.e. resort staff or other guests)
  • Guest Wellness: Any guest who appears ill will not be permitted to enter the Resort or any of its on-property facilities. We encourage guests who are not feeling well to visit Hawks Cay at another time.
  • Guestroom Check: Each room will be checked daily by the housekeeping or front desk team to ensure guest safety.
  • Hand Hygiene: Proper and frequent hand washing is required to help combat the spread of germs and viruses. Hand sanitation stations will be available throughout the Resort.

Hawks Cay Staff

  • Staff Wellness: Hawks Cay staff members will undergo daily temperature screening. Each staff member will display a sticker on their nametag to indicate they have been cleared to work and serve guests.
  • Public Spaces: There will be increased frequency of cleaning and disinfecting in all public spaces with a focus on counters, elevators and the buttons therein, door handles, public bathrooms, and the wristbands we provide our guests.
  • Ongoing Training: The housekeeping team is receiving ongoing training to meet new cleaning and hygiene protocols. Additionally, the entire staff has completed enhanced COVID-19 awareness training.
  • Facemasks: All Hawks Cay staff members are required to wear facemasks while at the Resort. Depending on position, various staff will be required to wear gloves, hair restraints, and additional personal protective equipment.

General Resort

  • Modified Housekeeping Services: All guestrooms will be cleaned, sanitized, and sealed prior to arrival. To ensure safety, the hotel staff will not re-enter any guestroom once checked-in, including housekeeping. Any special requests from housekeeping, such as fresh towels, will need to be made upon request.
  • Dining: Menus will be offered at all dining outlets in a digital format accessible via personal smartphone. The online menu can be accessed using a QR Code, which will be available at each table and in guestrooms. All restaurants (except Sixty-One Prime, which will remained closed) will be open with either limited seating or take-out options, and in-room dining is available with to-go package options. Please check with the concierge upon arrival for hours of operations as they will fluxuate or to make a reservation, which is recommended.
  • Pools: All pools will be open with the exception of the Pirate Ship Pool and all hottubs, which will remain closed indefinitely.
  • Activities and Programming: Camp Hawk will provide children’s outdoor programming with social distancing measures. Additionally, the sunset, cruise, which is operated by Sole Watersports, will be offered with limited seating to meet social distancing requirements. Basketball, soccer, volleyball, and tennis will not be available.

  • Parking: Valet parking is not available. All vehicles can be self-parked at any one of the designated parking lots.
  • Transportation: The resort tram will be operating with reduced seating
  • Group Meetings: Meetings and events will follow the same social distancing requirements.

We understand this may cause some inconveniences, but please be patient while we continue to make updates as guidelines are revised.
