Traveling with your four-legged family member is easy at Hawks Cay Resort. Our designated pet-friendly hotel accommodations allow you to enjoy a Florida Keys getaway without leaving your canine companion behind. From morning strolls around the resort to unwinding after a day of adventure, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to make memories together.

Fees & Requirements
To help maintain a safe and healthy environment for all guests, dogs must have current vaccinations. A nonrefundable pet fee of $150 per stay applies for up to two dogs.
Dogs of all breeds and sizes are welcome in designated hotel guest rooms only. Pets are not permitted in our villas.

Only dogs are permitted on property as a part of the Vacay Pup program.
Dogs are permitted with an added $150 per stay nonrefundable fee for up to two pets for seven nights.
We accept all dogs, large and small.
We welcome all dogs breeds however, we do ask that you ensure your dog provides the proper behavior within the resort.
Guests are permitted to bring up to two (2) dogs per room.
Only Hotel accommodations will be available for guests staying with their dogs. Guests staying with dogs may not book Villa accommodations at Hawks Cay.
Your pet should be registered with the property prior to or upon arrival. All pets not registered will be subject to a $150 recovery fee. You will receive a “Pup Pass” at check-in to be placed on each pet’s leash. The tag must always be visible on the pet.
The Pup Pass entitles the pups to the outdoor seating area of The Cafe, walking-paths, Saltwater Lagoon, and outdoor area of Angler & Ale. Dogs are not allowed at our pools, and although they may join you at saltwater lagoon, we ask that they do not swim.
Your dog(s) must have all recommended vaccinations currently up-to-date, and you agree to obtain and provide current records from your licensed veterinarian.
With miles of scenic pathways and fresh ocean air, Hawks Cay Resort and Duck Key are the perfect places for you and your dog to explore together. From new sights and exciting scents to waterfront strolls, there’s plenty to enjoy. For your convenience, dog waste stations are located behind the valet parking area and outside the tennis clubhouse. Please keep your dog on a leash at all times and help us keep the resort beautiful by cleaning up after them.
Guests should attach the special Pup In Room hanger to their door to alert housekeeping that a pet is occupying the guest room. Housekeeping will not enter your room throughout your stay. For specific requests please contact the front desk.
Yes, dogs must remain on a leash at all times.
The preference is that you do not leave your dog alone as they may be lonely. In the event you do leave your pup for nap time please note that we need a cell phone number on file for you in case your pup wakes up and needs you.
Of course! Dogs that fit within the parameters noted above are more than welcome to be a part of your special day!
The resort does not currently offer dog sitting, but we are happy to recommend nearby dog sitting facilities in the area.
