At Hawks Cay Resort, we understand that your pup is an important member of your family. That’s why we’ve gone above and beyond to ensure that your dog’s visit to our pet-friendly Florida Keys resort is nothing short of exceptional.
When you stay with us, you’ll be assigned a dedicated Pup Planner who will be there to assist you every step of the way. Whether you need travel information or recommendations for pet services, your Pup Planner will ensure that your vacation is seamless and stress-free.
Please note: Pet Friendly rooms are not avaialble in resort Villas.
Pup Paradise Park
Your furry friend will want to stretch his legs while visiting our resort, and we’ve got just the place for that! Our Pup Paradise dog park offers plenty of space to run off extra energy.
Pet-Friendly Services & Amenities
To make your dog’s stay even more enjoyable, we provide a Vacay Pup amenity package at check-in. If you need any additional pet supplies during your stay, simply let your Pup Planner know, and we’ll arrange for them to be delivered to your room.

Hawks Cay Resort prioritizes pet health, requiring up-to-date vaccinations as part of their commitment to maintaining a healthy environment. For up to two pets, a nonrefundable fee of $150 per stay applies. Please display your Pup Pass Bandana on your pet or tied to the leash.
Dogs of all shapes and sizes welcome! Hotel rooms only. Villas do not allow pets.
FAQ
Hawks Cay Resort welcomes all members of the family. Recognizing and adapting to the changing needs of travelers, we realized that this is now an essential practice to feature as the largest resort in the Florida Keys. We’re thrilled to now offer dedicated amenities and services exclusively for our canine guests.
Only dogs are permitted on property as a part of the Vacay Pup program.
We accept all dogs, large and small.
We welcome all dogs breeds however, we do ask that you ensure your dog provides the proper behavior within the resort.
Guests are permitted to bring up to two (2) dogs per room.
Only Hotel accommodations will be available for guests staying with their dogs. Guests staying with dogs may not book Villa accommodations at Hawks Cay.
Dogs are permitted with an added $150 per stay nonrefundable fee for up to two pets for seven nights.
Your pet should be registered with the property prior to or upon arrival. All pets not registered will be subject to a $50 recovery fee. You will receive a “Pup Pass” at check-in to be placed on each pet’s leash. The tag must always be visible on the pet.
The Pup Pass entitles the pups to the outdoor seating area of Marketplace, walking-paths, Pup paradise area, Saltwater Lagoon, outdoor area of Angler & Ale.
Your pet(s) must have all recommended vaccinations currently up-to-date, and you agree to obtain and provide current records from your licensed veterinarian regarding your pet(s) should Hawks Cay Resort request this information from you at any time.
All guests must utilize the Pup Paradise Park area outside of building 4 for their pet needs to ensure a pleasant environment for everyone. We ask that you pick up after your pet and place waste in its proper disposal bin.
Guests should attach the special Pup In Room hanger to their door to alert housekeeping that a pet is occupying the guest room. Housekeeping will not enter your room throughout your stay. For specific requests please contact the front desk.
The resort does not currently offer dog sitting, but we are happy to recommend nearby dog sitting facilities in the area.
The preference is that you do not leave your dog alone as they may be lonely. In the event you do leave your pup for nap time please note that we need a cell phone number on file for you in case your pup wakes up and needs you.
Guests can consult the onsite Pup Planner to assist with any travel information for the owner to ensure a seamless Pawcation. This will include pup-friendly locations within the Keys, delivery of pet supplies and assistance with local services if needed.
All pets will receive the Vacay Pup amenity package, including leash tag, pup door-sign, in-room dog bowl, pup paradise relief bags, Vacay Pup play ball for our VIPs (very important pups), and dog beds upon request.
We are happy to offer a pup pick-up menu and Hawks Cay pup merchandise for sale at Marketplace. Additional culinary and retail offerings will be announced as the program develops.
Your dog may accompany you to Saltwater Lagoon however, we do ask that they do not go for a dip. The dogs are NOT allowed in the pool areas. The Cafe patio is a great place to enjoy a morning coffee with your four legged friend. Angler & Ale will also be hosting 5’0 clock puptails that will be located on the patio of Angler & Ale.
