We’ve Got A New Scuba Diving Operator in Town!

Calling all divers and underwater enthusiasts. Better Than Most SCUBA has set up shop at our marina to offer beginner and expert divers alike the opportunity to explore the famous coral reefs of the Florida Keys. The team behind the boutique leisure diving operation, Jason and Jeanie Schwenke, have been teaching diving in the Florida Keys for more than 28 years.

Sitting in the middle Keys, Hawks Cay is a great homebase to go diving from as less frequented dive sites are within close distance, like the Wreck of the Thunderbolt, Look Before You Leap, Long Bridge Key, and more. Marine life like tropical fish, coral, eels, lobsters, crabs, turtles, nurse sharks, and dolphins frequent these sites.

Better Than Most SCUBA at Hawks Cay offers snorkeling, discovery, certification, refresher, advanced, rescue, lobstering, and spearfishing courses. There are trips twice daily (8 a.m. and 1 p.m.) with private guides and experienced captains. Aboard the Coast Guard-certified vessel, the Diane Marie, there’s always water, fresh fruit, and reef-safe sunscreen.
