Key limes are about as Keys-y as you can get. Whether it’s key lime pie, key lime chocolates or a key lime mojito scrub, we love finding ways to incorporate those tart little fruits into pretty much anything and everything at Hawks Cay. Now, thanks to our genius bar tenders, we have “stirred” things up with our famous Key Lime Mojito by adding cream liqueur to make it a Key Lime Pie Mojito. Dessert in a glass made just for grown-ups. Yes, please!
This drink is perfect for a cool fall night by the fire pit, but if you’re not able to make it down here to try it for yourself, we’ve got the recipe to make it at home.
What you’ll need: Conch Republic Rum, Keke Key Lime Cream Liqueur, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, mint, limes and club soda. Because a drink this good should be enjoyed with friends or family, we’ve included a recipe for a 32 oz shaker along with the 12 oz single. Of course, if you want to keep it all for yourself, we won’t tell!
1 ½ oz Conch Republic Rum
½ oz Keke Key Lime Cream Liqueur
½ oz Fresh lime juice
½ oz Simple syrup
2 ½ oz Club soda
8 Mint leaves
1 Mint sprig
3 oz Conch Republic Rum
1 oz Keke Key Lime Liqueur
1 ¼ oz Fresh lime juice
1 ¼ oz Simple syrup
6 ¼ oz Club soda
20 Mint leaves
1 ½ Lime
4 Mint sprigs
Combine all ingredients (except club soda) into a shaker.
Fill 2/3 full with ice.
Add club soda.
Pour contents into 12 oz glass or 32 oz shaker.
Garnish with fresh lime juice and mint sprig (s).
Serve Shakers with (2) 12 oz glasses, each garnished and filled with ice.
