School’s out but learning’s always in. At Hawks Cay, littles on summer vacation have the resort as their oyster to learn all about the best amenities the Keys have to offer. From water-based activities to musical creations, learning about our environment and more, here’s our run down of top summer learning activities that the kids will love.
 
Learn the art of standup paddleboarding with Solé Watersports
Balance is skill of practice. Kids can find their center of gravity with a group paddleboarding lesson at our on-site partner, Solé Watersports. Standup paddleboards that are versatile, sturdy, and comfortable enough for paddlers of all sizes to enjoy the over-water activities.
 
Learn how to make sticky, smooth, and silky slime creations at Coral Cay Activities & Adventures
New to our programming at Coral Cay Activities & Adventures is Kids Night Out. On Fridays and Saturdays from 7-10 PM, kids can mix and mingle doing hands-on activities under the supervision of our team. On Fridays, littles can get their hands dirty with the latest craze among toddlers to teens, slime! Children with sensory sensitivities will especially love developing new slime recipes, creating slime art, and smushing, pulling, and twisting their new favorite pastime. Activity available to ages 5-12.
 
Learn about bottlenose dolphins and the local marine environment
The home of Hawks Cay, the Florida Keys, are made of vibrant ecosystems, species, and marine inhabitants. Head over to the Dolphin Connection to experience its Dockside Dolphins program. This learning adventure lets guests stay dry while getting up close and personal with the intelligent marine mammals. Kids and parents can learn about the evolutionary history of dolphins, how they interact with humans, and see them live in action.
 
At the end of summer when the kids are back to school, they’ll have tons of active learning memories to share with the class after their #HawksCayVacay.
