Where did September go?09/22/2011
As September nears an end the Fall fishing is quickly falling upon us. The first signs of Sailfish are hear with large schools of Ballyhoo and Pilchards all over the edge of the reef. Once the table is set somebody is going to show up for dinner. Besides Sails the last run of Mahi-Mahi will also be available to the lucky anglers aboard any of the Tailwalker charters.

Its that time of year again where everybody is scrambling to get ready for school. Just a thought before you all start to stress about classes and books,come on down to Hawks Cay Resort and book one last charter on Capt. Scott Walker's Tailwalker 2. The Mahi -Mahi are still running strong and all the Tailwalker Charter boats are filling up their coolers with delicious fillets. Who knows ,maybe one last trip into the blue just might get you ready for next semester.

July has just become a memory. The Mahi fishing on the Tailwalkers was epic with a 50 pound Bull hitting the dock on Sunday the 30th. Captain Scott Walker, Ben Ekbloom, and Dave Jones have put all of the Hawks Cay Resort customers on some incredible fishing offshore. August looks just as exciting as the boats and crews are ready. The Mahi fishing on Capt. Scott Walkers Tailwalker charter fleet is in full swing. The fish are hungry and eagerly eating all the baits our boats are offering them. So come on down to Hawks Cay Resort and book a day on any of the Tailwalkers and don't forget your cooler!

Sails of Summer?06/06/2011
A nice bonus for our June customers is a late season run of Sailfish on the Reef. The Tailwalkers fishing out of Hawks Cay Resort and marina in the fabulous Florida Keys have been spotting these awesome gamefish in shallow water over the reef. There is no greater thrill than casting a frisky live bait to a cruising Sail in water 25' deep. ONLY 5 miles from the resort,doesn't get any better than that!

What happened to May? Tailwalker charters had a fast and furious month,the month passed so fast! The three Tailwalkers had some impressive catches of large Mahi-Mahi up to 40 lbs and coolers full of schoolies .And the Mutton snapper where even more impressive as the summer spawn is upon us.The fish boxes where full to capacity on many a day last month so you had better book a charter with Capt. Scott Walker or Ben Ekblom or Mike Taute soon. The Tailwalker 2 only has a few days left available in June, but Tailwalker 1 and 3 have some choice days left. June is almost here in the fabulous Florida Keys and Hawks Cay Resort book your days soon the fish are here.

It is finally the middle of May and the big Mahi have shown up right on schedule.This weekend some big Bulls over 30 lbs. hit the docks. As hard fighting and acrobatic as these big fish are they are still some of the best eating fish in the ocean as well. If you book a day on Tailwalker this month and bring your A game.

Grouper Season Reopens05/04/2011
May is here already and the Grouper season has reopened. A 52 lb. Black Grouper hit the dock yesterday and it was delicious! Tailwalker2 added the first Slammer Mahi-Mahi of the season also with a Big Bull topping 30 lbs. We are filling our calenders quickly for May so reserve your day soon. Tight Lines.

Mutton Snapper04/24/2011
For those lucky enough to get on a Tailwalker this week of Easter were rewarded with some great Reef fishing. All three boats limited out on yellowtails before lunch every morning leaving the rest of the day to explore the many Wrecks off Duck Key. The rewards were big Mutton Snapper up to 20lbs.Next week is going to be even better so book a day soon we are filling our days quickly.

The Tailwalkers are geared up and ready for what is shaping up to be a monster April. The Spring weather patterns are here and the big fish that visit us each Spring are showing up right on time. Giant Amberjacks are on all the local wrecks and are testing our drags every day. The Spring migration of Sailfish is happening down off Big Pine key and Tailwalker 2 has the size and speed to meet them every morning. The reef is is absolutely full of fat snapper ready to test your angling skills and reward you with a delicious meal as well. So, April is here, are you gonna be the next lucky angler?
