Sundance Watersports FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Patty asked :Jet Ski Rental Q:Can a licensed Florida 17 year old driver drive a jet ski?
A:Hi Patty, unfortunately, a licensed 17 year old driver can not drive a jet ski. Here at Sundance Watersports you must be 18 years old with a safe boaters cards to operate a jet ski, solo OR 22 years old. You can take the safe boaters test online at usboat.org. Please feel free to give us a call at (305) 743-0145 if you have any other questions.
Kayaking asked :age Q:How old does one have to be to go kayaking?
A:Greetings! For kayaking we usually suggest a minimum age of 12 to have their own kayak. If you have someone younger wishing to do some kayaking, they could go in a tandem kayak with a parent or guardian.
Tamym asked :Wakeboarding Q:We are looking at your website & it looks like a great place for a Spring Break vacation. My 18 yr old daughter wakeboards (in Austin, Texas). Do you offer wakeboarding?
A:While we no longer offer wakeboarding, we do offer several other great watersport’s activities. From parasailing, snorkeling, jet ski adventures, kayak rentals and more, we would love for you and your family to participate in. Please feel free to give us a call and we can get a reservation set up for you! 305-743-0145
Donna Johnson asked :Water Sports Q:Hi - can you tell me what age boys need to be to do water sports such as jet-ski, kite board, parasail, etc.?
A:Greetings Donna! If your boys are looking to just ride on the jetski, they can be any age, if they would like to drive their own jetski they must be 18-21 with a safe boaters card, or 22 years of age or older. For parasailing the minimum age is 4. Parasailing has more of a weight limit, versus age limit. If you have a smaller boy, he may have to go tandem with a parent. Kite boarding is actually done by our friends at oTHErside boardsports, you can contact them at (305)853-9728.
