A:Our snorkel excursions depart daily and include bottled water on the boat, instruction, and, of course, we have snorkel gear and wetsuits available. The trips are $44 with our gear or $39 if you are bringing your own.
Jon asked :teenage boys/jet skiing Q:Are there any other age restrictions for any watersports you offer? I'll have two 16 y/o boys with me. Any suggestions on what might appeal to them? Both are very fit and athletic. Thanks in advance. Jon
A:Other than the jetskiing limitations mandated by Florida law our only other manditory age requirement are with the Segways. Minimum age for the Segway is 12 years old.

A:Florida law states that the minumum age to rent a Jetski is 22 or 18 with a boaters license. Younger kids can still ride with an adult.
Jennifer Greene asked :snorkeling Q:What do you offer in snorkeling besides the per night package. Do you offer a 2 to hour excursion?
A:Our snorkel trips depart daily and are three hours long. You can book those directly by calling 305.743.0145.
Tom asked :Jet-Skiing Q:What are the age restrictions in place for the water sports? Am I right by saying that the age restrictions only apply if you are renting the jet-ski, and that there are not any imposed restrictions on driving it if you are under 18? Also are the water-sports running all year round?
A:Our watersports operates 365 days a year! State of Florida Law states that jetski riders be 18 years old with a boaters license or 22 without. There are no specific age restrictions for snorkeling, parasailing, kayaks, etc.
Pam asked :segway tours Q:Do we need to reserve these activities in advance or wait until we arrive? Do you have any sailboat tours?
A:You can reserve now or wait till you arrive. We can help you to find the best weather dates if you call us a few days before your arrival. Unfortunately, we don't have sailing available at this time.
Deb asked :sunset cruises Q:How long are the sunset cruises? Are they offered everyday and approx what time are they around mid-March? Thanks.
A:Sunset cruises run every night! They run about 1 1/2 - 2 hours long and include drinks and a sunset champaign toast. Right now check in is at 6 o'clock and the boat leaves the dock at 6:15. If you have any questions, feel free to call us at 305 743 0145.

A:Paddleboarding rentals and tours are offered here at Hawks Cay. Unfortunately we do not rent them out, but Aaron Osters is the man to talk to. His number is 305 942 9635. If you would like kayaks, jet ski tours, parasailing, and snorkling we are the people to talk to!
Angee asked :Snorkling and small children Q:We have a six year old who can swim with a life jacket is this acceptable for snorkling? Also we have a 2 1/2 Year Old would she be able to go on the snorkling trip?
A:We have pool noodles and life jackets aboard the power catamaran that goes out for the snorkle trip. As long as you are okay with it, we are okay with it. When it comes closer to the time, if you would like to know the conditions, you are more than welcome to call us and we can give you our recomendation. Also, we offer different prices for people who want to snorkle and for those who just want to go along on the trip. Children under the age of 3 who are not snorkling ride along for free. Linda Lee asked :snorkeling Q:I really enjoyed snorkeling last time at Hawks Cay and would like to do more while I'm there in April/May, however, $90 each time is expensive. Do you have a better rate.
A:Our rates are based on gear rental. If you use our equipment, it is $44, but if you have your own equipment, it is only $39. Also, if you have anyone who wants to go along for the trip, but doesn't want to snorkel, it is only $34.

A:Hawks Cay does provide wireless internet, and there are areas where the signal is stronger in some areas than in others. They also have computers in the main lobby behind the waterfall that are able to be used for a small fee. Someone at the front desk would be able to answer your questions more in full. David asked :kayaking Q:i'll be visiting for a business meeting very soon. is there a boat ramp available? i would like to bring my own kayak to do some light fishing.
A:There is a boat ramp available in the Hawks Cay marina, where we are located. There is a small fee to unload, park, and load again. Someone at the Marina Store will be able to answer that question a little better, if you would like to call, their number is 305 743 9000.
Elizabeth asked :snorkeling with a 5 year old Q:Hi, we are planning a visit in June (husband, 9 year old and 5 year old.) Our 5 year old swims well with a swim vest. Would he be able to snorkle? I noticed that the water depth is 7-12 feet. Do you often have kids with safety vests snorkling on your snorkle trips?
A:He is absolutely able to come on the trip if you are okay with it. We provide vests and swim noodles as well and honestly, many different ages use both of those :) We also have different prices for anyone who wants to go along on the trip, but doesn't want to snorkel. Minnesota asked :best time to travel to Hawks Cay Q:We live in cold MN and would love to travel to the ocean as a family. What is the best time of year? Want it to be warm enough to swim and be in bathing suits and sunny.
A:The weather is pretty consistant down here with it getting hotter during the summer months and cooling off slightly during the winter months. The average temperature other than the summer months is usually mid 80s. Otherwise, anytime is a good time. Summer weekends are going to start being busy with kids being out of school and parents wanting to take weekend vacations. A:You do not need a captain's license to rent a boat, we just need a valid driver's license and credit card to copy and keep on file. We do prefer that you have experience, but we have many employees here that can help you with any questions and concerns that you have. We also include a chart map in the box we give you to take on the boat. If you have any questions or concerns meanwhile, you can call us at 305 743 0145 and we will be more than happy to help you!

A:The cost of snorkling with our gear is $44 plus tax. If you bring your own, it's $39, and if you have anyone who wants to go along but just wants to hang out with our crew on the boat, it is only $34. We provide cold water, but you are more than welcome to bring other drinks, food, snacks, and what not. Our number is 305 743 0145. Sarah asked :Jetski boating certificate Q:I will be in Hawks Cay for a week next summer and I have a valid New Jersey boating safety certificate. Are out of state certificates recognized in Florida? I am 18 and required to have a certificate to ride but do I need one specifically from Florida?
A:As long as you have one, it doesn't matter what state it is from. Make sure you bring it with you though because we do have to make a copy of it. Make sure you guys also call ahead of time to make reservations because we do fill up pretty quickly. See you next summer!!
Kris asked :snorkeling Q:How old do kids have to be to go snorkeling?
A:We recommend a minimum age of 4 for most of our activities. If you have a child younger than that, and you think they will be able to handle a 3 1/2 hour trip, then as long as you're okay with it, we're okay with it. There is a liability waiver we have all guests sign, so you will just sign for them. You can give us a call as well at 305 743 0145 so someone can answer any other questions you have!
Lisa asked :group snorkeling Q:We just made our reservation for Christmastime. There are two families traveling together and I'm wondering how many people you can accommodate on a snorkle trip? We total 14 (15 if Grandma rides along). Thanks!
A:There is plenty of room on our 65 foot power catamaran to accomodate all of you. We accept up to 50 actually with one mate, and 75 with two mates. Make sure you call us ahead of time to make the reservations for your group. Our number is 305 743 0145, talk to you soon!
