The winds are down to 3 knotts today. The water is like glass right now, which means it's the perfect time to go snorkling! You can see the bottom of the ocean from the top of the boat, it's amazing!! A little history...09/12/2011
The word Key actually comes from Cay, a small low island or bank composed of sand and coral fragments. Cay comes from the Spanish word Cayo, meaning small island. Back in the day, the Keys were only accessible by boat, until Henry Flagler came in around the early 1900s and built the 'Overseas Railway', which extended the whole way down to Key West (ever heard US route 1 being called Overseas Highway?) Key West used to be the biggest town in Florida, if you can imagine that! The reason being, it was in a perfect location for trading with Cuba, the Bahamas, and New Orleans. The Keys are not only a beautiful place to come visit, but they also have some pretty neat history. Come on down to visit, then you can come visit us at Sundance Watersports to have some on the water fun!!! -

The conditions were PERFECT today for snorkling down here in the Keys! Clear water, calm seas, great weather, and an awesome group of people who made the trip even better. It's suppose to be like this for a good while, so come on down here to Sundance Watersports on Duck Key and join us on our 65 foot power catamaran "Blue" and enjoy the open ocean with all its marine life :) -
Perfect Time for Parasailing06/10/2011
Come on down while the wind is perfect and hop on our Premium, diesal powered Parasail boat. Get away from it all and ride on a single set up, or come with friends and get some air on our tandem set up. It's a different kind of feeling when you're 350 feet in the air! You can get wet or stay dry, you just let the captain know and they may let you get away with staying dry :) -

LOVE the weather down here on Duck Key in the Florida Keys! Rained for a record 5 minutes! Now it's clear and sunny, although a bit windy. Even though snorkeling at Coffins Patch might be out of the question, jet ski tours are still up and going and could be fun on the choppy waters! So close yet so far...02/05/2011
I had the opportunity to drive down from Charlotte, NC yesterday and we were able to experience all four seasons in one day! We left Charlotte in a freezing rain (Winter) ran into rain and fog in Daytona (Spring/Fall) and changed into shorts and t-shirts just past Miami. (Summer) Glad to be home with blue skies and 80 degrees. Come join us. It's only a days drive down 95 to our slice of summer.
