Whether you’re a novice angler dreaming of fishing the Florida Keys while watching the latest episode of Saltwater Experience, or a weekend fisherman looking to perfect your saltwater fishing skills, you will not want to miss out on the Saltwater Experience Weekend at Hawks Cay Resort. Hosted at the home of the Saltwater Experience television show, this First Annual weekend event will educate attendees on the latest tactics and techniques through classroom and hands-on sessions.
Classes and Hands-On Education Sessions will be taught by the experts that have fished the waters of the Florida Keys for years including, but not limited to: Hosts of Saltwater Experience Captain Tom Rowland and Captain Rich Tudor, host of Into the Blue Captain Scott Walker and local pros like Captain Derek Rust, Captain Dave Perry and Captain Jeff Malone. Seminar topics include:
- Cast Net Throwing
- Daytime Swordfishing
- Snook and Redfish Techniques
- Permit and Bonefish Secrets
- How to Clean a Fish Like a Pro
- And more!

Saltwater Experience Weekend 2 Night Package Starting at $458
Includes: 2 Nights Accommodations (Friday and Saturday) in your choice of Guestroom or multi-bedroom Villa, Admission for 1 adult to all weekend events (includes meal events), Welcome Bag, Door Prize Entry. Special pricing is available for pre- and post- accommodations, as well as purchase of additional tickets for adults/children.

Noon – 8 pm: Registration & Welcome Packet Pick Up
6 – 7 pm: Welcome Reception: During this outdoor island welcome, meet and greet the experts teaching the weekend’s sessions while you enjoy appetizers and cold beverages overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

8 – 9 am: Breakfast
9 am – Noon: Morning Instruction Sessions* – This indoor professionally presented series will include in-depth focus on topics such as Bonefish and Permit Secrets, Redfish and Snook Techniques, Daytime Swordfishing Secrets, Wreck Fishing Skills and Catching the Perfect Bait.
Noon: * Grab your box lunch and enjoy exploring Hawks Cay Resort and Marina.
strong>1 – 4 pm: Afternoon Hands-On Instruction Sessions* - Take advantage of trying some new or perfecting some old techniques outdoors with the experts. Each 20 to 30 minute session will be packed with great tips and will allow you to gain knowledge on a number of topics like Fly Casting, Throwing a Cast Net, Fish Cleaning, Fly Tying, Wreck Fishing Tackle Set-Up, Yellowtail Techniques, Electronic Chart Skills, and Advanced Spin Casting. Plus, don't miss demos by our event sponsors of the newest equipment to hit the fishing and boating industry!
6:30 – 8:30 pm: Farewell Dinner – Sit down to a Keys Cookout dinner overlooking the Resort’s pod of resident dolphin (the mammals, not the fish!). It’ll be a laid back way to cap off the weekend and enjoy the company of all the experts and fellow anglers that you’ve met.
