James Moss, a seasoned sales and marketing professional in the hospitality industry, has been named as the new Director of Sales at Hawks Cay Resort in the Florida Keys. In this position Moss will oversee all group and wedding sales efforts for the 60-acre resort destination and manage the resort’s Conference Services team, responsible for the delivery of exceptional group events.
Moss joins the Hawks Cay team with an impressive resume of achievements at four-diamond and four-star properties throughout the U.S. Most recently he served as director of sales and marketing at The Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort, Bonnett Creek in Orlando, Florida.
Moss has nearly 15 years of hospitality experience in sales and marketing having held positions at some of the most well-known hotel brands in the world including Hilton Worldwide, Global Hyatt Corporation and Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide. Prior to his tenure at Wyndham, Moss lead sales and marketing teams as director of sales and marketing at Conrad Miami in Miami, Florida; Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa in Lost Pines, Texas; Sheraton Bal Harbour Beach Resort in Bal Harbour, Florida; and The Phoenician Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona, just to name a few.
A graduate of Western Kentucky University with a bachelor’s of science degree in hospitality and restaurant management, Moss is a member of several professional organizations. An avid boater and experienced angler, Moss is happy to be back in South Florida.
