Directions to the Marina at the Hawks Cay Resort in the Florida Keys

The luxury Marina at Hawks Cay in the Florida Keys, which offers offshore/reef charter fishing boats and 85 slips, is easily accessible from all directions.

By Land:

To reach our Florida Keys resort by driving, the southernmost stretch of Route US-1 is the main road leading in and out of the Florida Keys. Extending all the way from Miami to Key West, it is routinely called the Overseas Highway, and it boasts some of the most scenic driving anywhere in the United States. Hawks Cay Resort on Duck Key is at Mile Marker 61 of this trip, 61 miles north of Key West and approximately 90 miles south of Miami. The Marina is located near the entrance to the resort, on the northwest side of the island.

By Water:

The latitude / longitude for the channel entrance to Hawks Cay Marina is 24° 45' 48" N | 80° 54' 40" W. VHF Channel 16. The Marina Basin has stationary wooden and concrete docks with finger piers and tie-off pilings. There is some current in these basins, so be careful when docking. The tidal range is approximately 1½ feet. At the entrance markers, contact the Hawks Cay marina office on VHF 16 for docking assignment, instructions, and assistance. From Miami:
Follow Hawk Channel to Marker 44. If traveling the Intracoastal Waterway, cross to Hawk Channel at the Channel 5 Bridge. Upon arriving at Marker 44, place heading at approximately 255° for 8 statute miles. You will see the 8 channel entrance markers on the south-center of Duck Key on the ocean side

From Key West:
Go north to Marker 45 then head about 30° until you see the 8 channel entrance markers. The perimeter channel and the Marina Basin are protected by a breakwater. After clearing the 8 entrance markers, turn starboard into the deep water channel. Proceed straight ahead into the Marina Basin. Maximum draft is 5 feet.
