BE PART OF THE 8% IN 2013
Duck Key, FL - Statistics show that while 62% of people make New Year’s resolutions, a measly 8% actually achieve their resolution. Statistics also show that vacationing at Hawks Cay Resort can increase your chance of achieving your resolution by 100%.*
Further analysis of this amazing statistic reveals the reason for such a high success rate for guests of Hawks Cay—every possible New Year resolution is supported by some offering at the Resort. Here is a short list of some of the most popular resolutions and the uncanny match with offerings at Hawks Cay. It’s almost spooky.
1. Spend more time with family: Check. The Resort offers a multitude of bonding opportunities whether you’re a multigenerational family of 32 or a couple reconnecting. Enter snorkel trips, couples’ massages, and lagoon kayak races.
2. Learn something exciting: Check. Kiteboarding, JetLev or scuba diving anyone? You guessed it—all available at Hawks Cay.
3. Get fit and healthy: Check. There are endless ways to stay active at the Resort from biking, paddleboarding and kayaking around Duck Key to basketball, volleyball and water games at Indies Club.
4. Help others fulfill their dreams: Check. This writer’s dream is a Bamboo Massage at Calm Waters Spa, followed by a pina colada at the Tranquility Pool. I will valiantly volunteer to help you achieve your resolution.
*Statistic based on a study performed in which Baby New Year was asked “Would a vacation at Hawks Cay Resort increase your chances of achieving your resolution to take a vacation?” To which he responded “100%!”

SANTA SPOTTINGS AT HAWKS CAY RESORT
Duck Key, FL - For the third year in a row, Santa spottings have been reported at Hawks Cay Resort as early as the day after Thanksgiving. It appears that Santa and Mrs. Claus have found the ideal location to rest throughout the month of December in
preparation for the big night.
This year Santa first appeared on the JetLev, where he dazzled guests with his flight skills on the jetpack-like contraption. “The big guy mentioned that he may want to borrow the JetLev on Christmas night in order to more effectively deliver presents to children that live by the coastline,” commented George Schattuck of Sundance Watersports.
The Claus couple have joined in the Hawks Cay Christmas celebration happening all December by planning some special activities for guests to enjoy with them. “When Mrs. Claus asks you for 25 pounds of Christmas cookies, you get your elves to work,” said Director of Food & Beverage Kevin Dott of the preparations for Mrs. Claus’s weekly Christmas Cookie Decorating event.
Everyone has a chance to meet Santa on Saturday mornings when he arrives in true Keys style at the Saltwater Lagoon. He’ll hang out in the Resort Lobby Saturday morning for pictures, too. He often wears his relaxed Keys’ attire early in the morning because, in Santa’s own words, “Who wants to put on a suit before you’ve had your first Peppermint Mocha Latte?”

Coming Soon - December 2012
You may notice a few changes happening near the Resort Pool this fall. We are thrilled to add a new dining option to Hawks Cay this year.
Ocean will offer three meals a day and the dining experience will embody the feeling and flavors of coastal marketplaces of the Mediterranean. We look forward to showcasing this new offering beginning December 2012.
