Hi, I'm Joni Dooley Barkley, Director of Sales here at the beautiful Hawks Cay Resort in the Florida Keys. Before joining the Hawks Cay sales team I was Director of Sales & Marketing at Casa Monica Hotel in Saint Augustine, Florida where I directed both sales and conference services for over eight years. I have served as the Senior Sales Manager at both the Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons resorts in Palm Beach, and previously worked as the Director of Sales & Marketing at Hawks Cay for three years. I earned my Certified Hospitality Sales Professional (CHSP) certification from the American Hotel & Lodging Association, and have worked in the hotel business since college.

At Hawks Cay Resort I lead a team of handpicked professionals in providing guests with the highest level of personalized service. I work with groups in Georgia, Texas, North and South Carolina; and service Hawks Cay's International market.

The Turtle Hospital

The Turtle Hospital opened its doors 1986 with four main goals: 1) rehab injured sea turtles and return them to their natural habitat, 2) educate the public through outreach programs and visit local schools, 3) conduct and assist with research aiding to sea turtles (in conjunction with state universities), and 4) work toward environmental legislation making the beaches and water safe and clean for sea turtles.

The Turtle Hospital (Hidden Harbor Marine Environmental Project, Inc.) is a 501(c)(3) charitable corporation. The Hidden Harbor Motel provides the space and buildings needed to house and care for the sea turtles. The Turtle Hospital offers Guided Educational Experiences to the public daily 7 days a week. Beautiful summer days at Hawks Cay..... August 7, 2012

Yesterday afternoon we had clean green water, about 50ft of vis, the water temperature is warm warm warm, and it was FLAT CALM with zero current. Our SNUBA divers had the pleasure of diving with 5 friendly dolphins, who played around with us in the water for a little while before moving on.... really awesome experience!
