A:Hi there! We absolutely welcome your 4 year old daughter to come meet the dolphins along with you or another adult. The Dockside Dolphins program which is an out-of-water dolphin encounter is ideal for her. All participants in this program who are under 6 years of age will need a participating adult with them. A:Hi Mr. Bryan, You may speak with any of the reservations agents at Hawks Cay Resort in order to make your dolphin encounter reservation. They can be reached at 1-888-313-5749 or by email at reservations@hawkscay.com. Regarding the pricing, it varies with the type of program you prefer. Courtney asked :age/height restrictions Q:Hi there. We are interested in possibly staying at the resort in mid-May. However, we promised our girls we would arrange for them to swim with the dolphins, so our vacation will be centered around it. Our girls are 8 & 10. Are they old enough to participate in a swim w/a dolphin program. They are excellent swimmers. Thank you!
A:Hi there, What a great vacation to look forward to. Our in-water dolphin encounter does not have an age requirement, instead it has a height requirement. The girls must be at least 4'6" tall (54") in order to participate in the Discovery program. Michele asked :3yr old having a one on one with dolphins Q:My husbabd and I were the last year and I swam with the dolphins. I know my 3 rd old son is tog your to swim with the dolphin. Is there a type of age or height requiment for him being on the dock with the dolphins??? Thanks, Michele
A:Hi Michele, The Dockside program is a great option for your 3 year old son! Since he is under 6 years old, he'll need you or another adult to participate in the program with him and you'll both have a great time touching, feeding and playing with the dolphins. We look forward to seeing you here!
Toby Berkeley asked :requirements for a 7 year old Q:Does my 6 year old granddaughter need to be accompanied by another adult to play with a dolphin in the water? we are interested in the program that costs $165. Also, how close to Hawks Cay Resort is the Dolphin Connection?
A:Hi there, Our Dolphin Discovery program (the in-water, $165 program you asked about) has a height requirement of 4'6". If a child is at least that tall, they are permitted to do the program with or without an adult. Anyone under 4'6" tall can participate in the Dockside program which is an out-of-water dolphin interaction which you can read more about by clicking on the "Programs" tab above. At 6 years old, your granddaughter would absolutely be able to participate in the Dockside program on her own. Whichever program ends up being the best fit for your family, we look forward to seeing you here and introducing you to the dolphins!

Bridgette asked :dolphin encounter? Q:How old or how tall must you be in order to do the dolphin encounter? And is there availability this weekend, May 18-20?
A:Hi Bridgette, If you're interested in our in-water program (Dolphin Discovery), you must be at least 4'6" tall. If you're interested in our out-of-water program (Dockside Dolphins), anyone at all can do the program but participants under 6 years of age must have an adult with them. We do have availability this weekend but I'd encourage you to make your reservation as soon as possible as spots are filling up quickly!
Daniela Reinhardt asked :my brother wants to participate but he barely understands English Q:hi my name ist daniela and im 16 years old. my brother tobias is 12 years old. we're gonna spend our holiday in florida so we we'll be at the hawks key resort from august 9th to august 12th. my brother would love to swim and play with the dolphins. since we are from germany he barley understands english. now my question: how good does his english need to be to participate on your program. is there any way that i might can translate the instructions to him? i lived in florida for 5 months so my english is pretty good tho. how much would the programm be? i'm looking forward to get an answer from you. regards daniela reinhardt
A: Hello Daniela, This is a great question. Thank you for asking. For safety reasons, your brother will need to understand basic English in order to be able to follow the trainer's directions in the water. If he speaks and understands enough English to be safe, then he is welcome to participate and you could certainly attend the class portion, that takes place prior to entering the water, as his translator.
