Q: My husband's 60th birthday the reason for this trip. Would you be able to reserve a table for 4, outdoors overlooking the water on Tuesday, 2/15 at 7:30? We would like to start with champagne and is it possible to get a carrot cake? Thanks so much. Claire

Q: Although it is over a year away, I am already starting to plan a rehearsal cocktail party the night before my son's wedding. I would like to know if you have any accommodations for around 70 guests for drinks and hors d'ouevres on that Friday night. Also can you possibly give me a ball park cost range per person. There is no particular dress code for the restaurant, we encourage our diners to feel "island elegant" in something comfortable. Q: Is ALMA open on Sunday over the New Year's weekend? or is only the bar open ?
A: Alma will be open in its entirety the entire holiday week and weekend including Sunday. Alma opens from 6pm-10pm daily throughout December and January. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us for further information at 305-743-7000.

Q: Will this restaurant be able to accomdate a gluten allergy or will it just be a stripped down version of something on the menu?

I am going to e-mail you our current dinner menu, and you will notice we have a wide variety of items that are glueten free such as our slow roasted winter vegetable salad, and pan seared chilean sea bass. Q: We are staying at Hawks Cay 01/31/2011 through 02/04/2011. The last time I went to Florida, I sampled fresh stone crab and loved it. Is this an entree you can feature on your menu while we are visiting? Thank you for your consideration.

Lisa asked: Reception Dinner

Q: My Fiance and I are having a church wedding, but we would like to hold a dinner reception at your restaruant. Do you have accomodations for 30-50 people? We are not sure of the exact date, but our goal is mid-June 2012. Do you have a set menu for large groups? Thank you.
A: Good Morning Lisa, To give you an idea of what we can offer on property I would recommend speaking to one of our catering and wedding specialists on property. We can accommodate groups up to 30 in Alma but unfortunately no larger than that within the dining room. If you were interested in having a meal for 50 people I would recommend one of our private dining areas with a pre-selected menu through our catering department. If the group stayed at 30 people we could accommodate you with one of our prix fixe menus in Alma; however I would still need for their to be communication between yourself and one of our catering managers to finalize all of the reservation details. If you would like I would be happy to email you directly with some further information as well as contacts for our catering and weddings department. Q: Are there any secluded sections to the restaurant that can accommodate 11 people?
A: Hi Brenda Our dining room can accomodate a party of 11 with plenty of space, however it is on large room so it is not secluded from other guests. Getting to Alma

Alma is located at Hawks Cay Resort, midway down the Florida Keys on the beautiful island of Duck Key. To get to Alma, take US-1 to mile marker 61 and follow the signs to Hawks Cay's lobby. Our valets will gladly park your vehicle and direct you to the restaurant.
